During this Covid-19 pandemic safety is very important. I felt it was necessary to come in and have my glaucoma monitored. Steps have been taken to keep the office germ free and socially distanced, new procedures have been added for check-in, and all equipment was wiped down. I felt safe and was glad to be able to continue treatment.

It is my pleasure to offer this patient testimonial with respect to your professional practice. By way of personal medical history and background context, in 1976, at age 27, I contracted an extraordinarily aggressive bacterial infection, which attacked the corneal tissue in both eyes, resulting in temporary blindness and mandating hospitalization for treatment. The result of the eventual process was the formation of extensive scar tissue in both eyes; however, the location of this was centrally concentrated in the left eye, requiring corneal transplant surgery. The vision in the left eye, as a result of the surgery, resulted in a very steep corneal surface, and challenging technological options for any acceptable level of vision correction for a very long period of time. In 2015, I was referred to Dr. Kim Doan, who then became my primary care Ophthalmologist. Cataracts had formed in both eyes; and the determination was made to begin with the removal in the right eye first, given the extreme complexity of the medical circumstances involved with the left eye. In 2017, Dr. Doan made a professional referral to another Ophthalmologist, who specialized in the intricacies of what would be required for treatment of the cataract in the left eye, laser resurfacing of the cornea, and implantation of a specific lens type to enhance the possibility of improved vision. In 2018, Dr. Doan, as part of a continuing plan for my care, made another referral, to an Ophthalmologist who specialized in the cornea, as the 42-year old graft was finally failing. Corrective surgical procedures were undertaken, involving donor tissue, to correct the condition. Throughout the entire process, continuing to this day, I am pleased to report that my vision in both eyes has dramatically improved to the point where it has not been experienced in many decades. Your expertise and professional conduct is outstanding, and your direct personal patient interaction is refreshing and most welcome. It continues to be an exceptional experience. R.
